NORFOLK, Neb. – The music division at Northeast Neighborhood School will host its annual spring live performance this weekend. The live performance shall be held on Solar., Could 9.
The Neighborhood/School Band will carry out outdoor at 2 p.m., within the courtyard, north of the School Library on the Norfolk campus, 801 E. Benjamin Ave. In case of inclement climate, the occasion shall be held within the Cox Actions Middle Gymnasium. The Northeast Choir shall be in live performance at 4 p.m., within the Cox Actions Middle Theatre. Seating shall be restricted. Social distancing shall be adopted and masks are required.
Alternatives to be carried out by the Neighborhood/School Live performance Band embrace Bohemian Rhapsody, by Freddie Mercury and organized by Walter Mertens; Maple Leaf Rag, by Scott Joplin and organized by Clifton Jones; Beethoven’s 6th Symphony, Rhythm of the Winds; Vesuvius by Edward Freytag; and Rhythm of the Winds by Franck Erickson.
The School/Neighborhood Live performance Band is led by Kevin McLouth, instrumental music teacher/director of instrumental actions at Northeast.
“We’re simply excited to play reside music once more,” McLouth mentioned. “Our plan for the semester had us break the live performance band into 4 smaller teams to permit in face rehearsal in the course of the pandemic.”
McLouth can even direct the choir with Adjunct Teacher Kathi Angeroth directing the strings in addition to accompanying the scholars.
