Margaret (Blanchard) Berry

AUBURN – Margaret (Blanchard) Berry, 91 handed away on Dec. 30, 2020 at residence together with her daughters Jane and Nancy, in addition to her pricey pal Sherry Vermette, by her facet.

She was born in Auburn on Nov. 6, 1929 to Henrietta (Ames) Blanchard and Daniel Blanchard.

She graduated from Edward Little Excessive College within the class of 1947.

Margaret was married to Paul R. Berry on August 30, 1950 and loved 52 years collectively till his dying in 2002.

Margaret had a robust love of music which began as a toddler when she realized to play the trombone.

Margaret taught all of the brass devices for a lot of a long time, first at a number of colleges then when her kids arrived, she taught at residence. After Paul handed you can discover her taking part in in quite a few native bands: Auburn Group Live performance Band, Fanfare Band and crammed in at Bathtub and Westbrook Group Bands and anyplace {that a} trombone participant was wanted.

Margaret was very energetic all through her life. She labored alongside Paul throughout their marriage working the Berry Farm and Vegetable Stand and their snowplowing enterprise. She was a Woman Scout chief when Nancy was a Woman Scout. Margaret was a member of the West Auburn Congregational Church the place she held many roles. Margaret had a robust religion and knew she was heading residence.

She is survived by her daughters, Jane Dinsmore and husband Carl of Auburn, Nancy Massucco and husband Walter of Middle Conway, N.H.; brother, James Blanchard, Provide, N.C., particular associates, James Gardner, Charles Marshall, Jonathan Richards, and Louise Genussa; together with many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her dad and mom; husband Paul; son in-law Henry Harlow; sister Julia Oakes (Richard), brothers, Austin Blanchard (Delores), Ralph Blanchard (Elizabeth) and sister-in-law, Mary Blanchard.

The household wish to thank CMMC Oncology dept. Dr. Erikson and Dr. Skelton; Androscoggin Residence Well being and Hospice particularly Aimee her nurse who helped make it doable to maintain Margaret at residence throughout her final days. Additionally, Nancy’s pal Jerry Hembree RN who dropped all the things to drive over from New Hampshire to spend the final evening with the household and assist Margaret have a peaceable passing. A Memorial service shall be scheduled at a later date once we can all get collectively to have a good time a life effectively lived, with interment at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Auburn.
